COVID19 | Reminder now is not the time to go to the pitch for a kick around. Firstly since yesterday 'Social gatherings of individuals outdoors should be no more than four persons, unless all are from the same household', and secondly we all need to play our part in keeping our community safe. It is up to our senior players to lead by example. Everybody is in the same boat, and naturally boredom and frustration have set in, but we all have to play our part!! We are lucky to have Dun a Rí and Lough an Lae on our doorstep if we need to get out for some quiet exercise, otherwise please, please stay at home, and remember to wash your hands!

Healthy Club Project | The GAA'S Healthy Club project (HCP) aims to transform GAA clubs into health-enhancing hubs for their communities. The HCP began in 2013, in partnership with Healthy Ireland, HSE, National Office for Suicide Prevention, and kindly supported by Irish Life. Its aim is to make every GAA club in Ireland a hub for health, capable of providing their members and communities with programmes that support their physical, emotional, and social wellbeing. Phase three of this initiative takes place this year and Kingscourt Stars has been selected to participate in the project. There were over 200 applications from every county in Ireland (including some international applications) highlighting the value GAA clubs place on supporting the health and wellbeing of their members and communities. Our club was one of the 92 selected to join the 58 clubs that successfully completed Phase 2 in November 2017. Thanks to our Health and Safety Officer, Gillian O'Reilly who worked hard on our submission with the help of our Chairman, Phil Smith! | 01/01/2019 |

Coaching Forum | To all Parents, Guardians & Members of the Community, On Friday 2nd November 2018 Kingscourt Stars GAA Club are hosting a “Coaching Planning Forum” in the club meeting rooms at 8:00pm in preparation for the development of a Coaching & Development 5 year Strategic Plan. In 2011, the club launched and implemented their 5 year Strategic Club plan, which covered all aspects within the club. The life term of this plan expired in 2016 hence the need to plan for the next five years beginning with what is probably the most important section of the club Coaching Development. This is key to the successful future of the club; many changes have occurred in recent years both in boys & girls disciplines hence the need to prioritise and fast track the plan. We are seeking input from all stakeholders and members of the community in particular, parents, guardians, teachers, coaches and any other interested party. We invite you to participate in the initial stage of compiling our plan. We look forward to your attendance. | 30/11/2018 |
